Sasa Software receives Frost & Sullivan’s Asia Pacific 2017 ICT Security Vendor of the Year Award
Gate Scanner® recognized by independent market research and consulting firm for proven success in preventing malicious attacks on Industrial Control Systems and other critical organizations.
Singapore, 6 July, 2017 – Sasa Software today announced that market research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan recognized the Gate Scanner® suite of security solutions with its 2017 Asia Pacific ICT (Industrial Control Systems) Security Vendor of the Year Award.
The Vendor of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding performance by Sasa Software in the Asia Pacific ICT industry. Frost & Sullivan determine the winner using benchmarking criteria that include revenue growth, market share, product innovation, breadth of solutions, and other achievements.
Sasa Software has gained market acceptance in Asia-Pacific with its proprietary Gate scanner® technology, offering it in a diversified suite of solutions such as unidirectional gateways, kiosks and automated scanning that have successfully provided industrial control systems security, and recently innovated to protect files transferred to public cloud environments.
“With its strong overall performance, Sasa Software has been conferred Frost & Sullivan’s 2017 Asia Pacific Industrial Control Systems Security Vendor of the Year award”, wrote Frost & Sullivan Vice President ICT Practice Ajay Sunder.
The award highlights the unique challenge solved by Sasa Software, described as a World of Zero Trust. State and non-state actors ceaselessly create unique and targeted cyber-attacks that are capable of avoiding detection technologies, therefore undermining and breaching infrastructures.
Instead of relying on detection, Gate Scanner® treats every incoming file and email as suspicious. Known as CDR – Content Disarm and Reconstruction, files are transformed into a new, neutralized copy that can be safely introduced into secure networks. The challenge is amplified in industrial settings due to limitations in deploying traditional cyber security technologies, and has been proven to prevent advanced attacks, including APTs and ransomware.
“This award by Frost & Sullivan recognizes the success of our approach. Network segmentation has long been a best practice in critical Israeli organizations, and is quickly being adopted in Asia. Gate Scanner® is a proven technology allowing the safe and clean transfer of files into secure networks, especially in critical and industrial settings”, said Yakov Yeroslav, Sasa Software’s founder and CEO.
Sasa Software’s Singapore distributor, Athena Dynamics, recognizes the dire need for a fundamentally different approach to cyber protection. “We started to observe that main-stream technologies are no longer effective in countering today’s advanced threats, since they are detection-centric. We started to source for a radically effective method 3 to 4 years ago, and were glad to discover Sasa Software, that introduced us to the CDR technology, a proven non-detection strategy. Sasa Software is a leader in this technology and therefore we invested in making this partnership a success.”, said Ken Soh, CEO, Athena Dynamics.
“Israel, Singapore and Asia, have a close and unique relationship, and we collectively implement the best practices in education, economy, and Cyber Security. By installing our solutions, critical infrastructures, industrial manufacturers and other organizations in Asia Pacific can benefit from the highest level of security available,”, Yeroslav concluded.
Founded in 2013, Sasa Software is a leading provider of extensive content disarm and reconstruction solutions (CDR), protecting against data breaches and ransomware by preventing sophisticated and targeted cyber-attacks. The company, based in the north of Israel, protects over 160 enterprises, focusing on governmental agencies, financial institutions, healthcare, critical infrastructures and industrial manufacturers.
