Through the 1-month long training program, Athena Dynamics has been imparting the young minds with Cyber Security Knowledge and with lecture videos and “wargames” which are attempted by the students at the end of every lesson. The hands-on learning experience provided a chance for students to apply newly learnt technical knowledge in fun and interesting activities.

On June 21^st 10am, the annual Capture the Flag (CTF) competition commenced. Taking the skills and knowledge imparted to them through the past month, the students engage in a 48-hour jeopardy-style CTF competition, showcasing their talent by completing challenges and gaining points.

The 2022 CTF competition is held virtually, but challenge tasks were not constrained to the online platform. Competitors were also tasked with hacking physical elements within a city set up that was build specifically for this event! The challenges are spilt into 5 rings of difficulty and include tasks like hacking into a tower crane system to move the crane remotely, controlling a nuclear centrifuge and gaining control of the city’s CCTV cameras.
